Great photography speaks to the viewer. It tells a story. Finding Photos that fall into this category is a rare and cherished experience. Below you will find photos that tell a story.

 

 

 

This young girl is lost. She is doomed to some terrible fate sometime in the future. As she assumes the posture of an experienced woman smoking her cigarette, we all know that she is headed for a gloomy future.

 

 

 

One cannot help but wonder what horrors this soldier has experienced. All of the devastation evident in war is sketched in his face and hand gesture. The viewer cannot help but feel compassion for the inner turmoil so evident in his features.

 

 

 

The pride in his agricultural prowess as a grower of grapes is clearly seen in this farmer’s countenance. One wonders if these grapes are destined for a wine press or a grocery store.

 

 

 

This portrait of Mark Twain clearly illuminates the ego and confidence of a successful writer in his own time. Rarely does an author enjoy such fame and fortune as Mark Twain did during his life.

 

 

 

 

This photo is a window into this young child’s misery and uncertainty. The eyes haunt the viewer as you wonder about her next meal.

 

 

 

Fishing on some remote river with your buddies is a wonderful memory. This photo emotes a feeling of camaraderie and friendship.

 

 

 

Is this woman in love? Is she simply enjoying nature at its most enchanting time of day? Did she just becomes enraptured by some alien spaceship?

 

 

 

The majesty of this American icon is hard to miss. His hunting capabilities are not in question as he guards his vanquished prey.

Classic Wedding Dress Photos

When you think of photos one of the very first things you think of is weddings. Weddings are the bread and butter business of most freelance photographers like myself. The enjoyment that you get out of being at the wedding is also very rewarding. As a photographer you play a very important part in the lasting memories that will be created during that special day. You work very hard to make sure that every moment capture is as special as the day.

Wedding Dresses

One of the things that I personally enjoy is the classic looking wedding dresses that I come across at weddings. You get some modern looks here and there, but I personally feel that they aren’t as good looking. I guess I lean more traditional. It is just a matter of preference I suppose. My favorite images I love to capture of the bride in her wedding dress is the father walking the bride down the isle. This is the moment when the dress is finally revealed to not only the family and friends attending, but the groom as well. In about 25% of the instances I may be able to catch the groom shedding some tears of joy. Another instance where I like to get some great photos is when the bride holds the groom’s hands and looks into his eyes for the first time once she gets up there. It is as if they are saying to each other, “This is really happening!”.
